Time Away
Just yesterday my wife and my daughter just returned from a brief trip to Port Clinton, OH for a girls get-away. I spent the time at work and hanging out with my friend Nick. This was a great couple of days for both Jen and I, and we both feel more refreshed after it. Nick and I went disc golfing, smoked some stogies, and played some video games. What is it about "Time Away"? It (nearly) ALWAYS make you feel better, and your outlook on life is so much better when it's over. I liken it to recharging your batteries ... you go low on fuel, and after the recharge you are ready to go.
We have a busy couple of months in August and September. Next weekend we are heading to Mackinac Island, our anniversary is coming up on September 9(8 years), and our long awaited trip to Hawaii for a wedding is the end of September. This "Time Away" will get us recharged for the long cold winter that we in Northwest Indiana love so much. I can't wait!
